“In the end everything will be alright, and if things don’t go as planned, it won’t be the end just yet.”
Hi, I am Sanne, I’m 23 years old and 100% Amersfoorter. At my job, the Long John Pub, I came across chalk boards for the first time. This is where my fascination for chalk-art and eventually my own company “Bij Sanne in ‘t Krijt” came into existence. I design the imagery on chalk boards, chalk walls or chalk windows for all kinds of companies. I always call it ‘’a hobby that transformed into an obsession’’. Although I do not want to make chalk-art my full time job, it is a very nice change of scenery from my study- and workdays. Another creative outlet for mine is improv theatre. It is incredibly fun to do, it gives me a lot of energy and it also provides the necessary self-confidence to know that everything will be okay.
At NTWRKPLK I come into contact with other creative women who generally ask the same questions that I do: What do I want to do? and What do I want to achieve? This makes for a great environment to talk about how you can get the most out of yourself and your product/service.
I am about to graduate in Intercultural Communication and hope to find my future job in this field. One possibility could be to offer training courses, workshops or other creative initiatives in order to make diversity discussable. I see the experience that I acquire with my chalk-art, as a steppingstone into the future, for I am developing the skills to eventually start my own company and dedicate myself to diversity and inclusiveness in society.
